Introduction
AeroTrain’s Model AS-70-4 Fluid Lines and Fitting Installation Practice Trainer is designed for providing hands-on training to the students.
Capabilities
The trainer provides hands on training for fabrication and installation of rigid and flexible lines and teaches identification of various sizes and types AN fittings commonly used in aircraft hydraulic systems. Students gets hands on training in calculating, measuring and cutting the correct length of rigid lines along with bending and flaring ends. Similarly the students get hand on practice in making flexible lines in two common diameters and installing them on the trainer in various layouts.
The trainer provides practice for bending both 90 and 45 degree bends for simple and complex geometry rigid lines. The trainer also provides hand on experience in inspecting both rigid and flexible lines and help students learn the various criteria required in making a good quality rigid and flexible line.
The worksheets progressively increase the level of difficulty, as each subsequent worksheet build on the previous worksheet while adding a higher level of difficulty.
Tools and Supplies included with the Trainer
All the tools required for working on the trainer are provided along with adequate supplies that would allow students to tasks given in the task sheets. Additional supplies if required may be ordered.
Documentation
Training Manual is provided with Job Sheets for hands-on training of the students for the trainer panel.
Computer Based Training (CBT)
The trainer is supplied with CBT covering relevant topics. The CBT contents are in accordance with Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) AC 43.13 and also cover the relevant topics of European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part 66 Module 7.
